Child and Family Therapist (School Embedded) The Heart Leaf Center, a non-profit program located in Fairfax, VA seeks a part-time therapist to support a grant funded pilot program providing mental health services within 2 elementary schools. This position requires a minimum 3 days of week with options for additional hours in the outpatient office if desired. The therapist will work closely with the Clinical Director in setting up a new school program. Experience working with children, families and Play therapy knowledge required. Adolescent program Director – Ft Worth, TX Job Summary The Program Director shall administer and/or appropriately delegate all aspects of client care for the organization. The Program Director will assist in the development of staff trainings and the development of resources to provide best practice and evidenced-based treatment to our clientele. Duties and Responsibilities • Initiate program assessment and implement quality program enhancements, utilizing evidence-based practices. • Design & manage therapeutic programs. • Establish rapport, systematically gather data, determine the readiness of the individual for treatment and change, and apply accepted criteria for diagnosis of substance use disorders • Facilitate and provide individual and group therapy to clients. • Screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms • Screen for danger to self or others • Screen for co-occurring mental health issues • Analyze and interpret data to determine treatment recommendations and priorities • With the individual served, formulate mutually agreed-upon, measurable treatment goals and objectives • Demonstrate adherence to accepted ethical and behavioral standards of conduct • Participate in continuing professional development • Understand the benefits and limitations of toxicological testing procedures • Knowledgeable about strategies for treating alcohol, cocaine, and other drug abuse • Staff responsible for coordinating medical and psychiatric care are knowledgeable about medication-assisted therapy. • Oversee social and recreational activities: ensure that clients are regularly going on outings and involved in recreational and social activities. • Maintain relationships with outside agencies and referents. • Complete an admission assessment or any other evaluation of an adult for placement. • Developing, reviewing, and updating of service plans for an adult in care. • Complete a discharge or transfer summary for a child. • Approving any restrictions that will be imposed on an adult for more than seven days that have not been reviewed and approved by the treatment director or service planning team, and any monthly re-evaluations of restrictions that continue for more than 30 days. • Approving any restrictions to communication and visitation with the child’s family that are imposed on an adult but have not been reviewed and approved by the treatment director or service planning team, including monthly re-evaluations of restrictions that continue for more than 30 days. • Approving any restrictions to a particular room or building for more than 24 hours that are imposed on an adult but have not been reviewed and approved by the treatment director or service planning team. • Review industry-related and business statistics. • Document and determine any areas that need improvement. • Review current policies and recommend plans to improve upon the existing quality standards. • Review and analyze the effectiveness of the modifications made. • Ensure that all procedures within the company conform to State, Federal, and Joint Commission Regulations. • Responsible for evaluating the current level of patient care, which may include data collection, entry, and analysis, chart audits and observing direct patient care. • Responsible for developing a medical privacy and data security policy and collaborating with affected departments to implement appropriate procedures and measures to guarantee the privacy and security of protected health in formation. • Act as a mediator to both clients and employees to help resolve concerns, complaints, and requests, including the submission of timely and accurate reports as required for resolution. • Work closely with all members of treatment team to assure positive working relationships. • Handle patient complaints/concerns and, when necessary, coordinate corrective action.
